This is rough. If you don't know, Alopecia is hair loss. There is different levels of Alopecia. Most people have one or two bald spots. I have Universalis which is hair loss EVERYWHERE! I can't say that I've handled this like the good Christian person I should be. Losing my hair is probably the worst thing that has happened to me as a woman. I often feel disconnected from the people around me because I feel/look different. I got married on August 21, 2004 to the most wonderful man I've ever known. - just had a few spots then. By February 2005 it was all gone - head to toe gone. I quickly learned about wigs and went out and got my first wig on Valentines Day - not exactly the most romantic first married V Day with my man! Anyways, 6 1/2 years later, I'm still wearing wigs, but I'm daily learning that this is what my life is right now and I should be happy in it. Thank God for Chris and my two beautiful children, Hannah and Caleb! Here's me with my newest do!
