Caleb

Our little Sunshine was born on April 8, 2009 at 8:20am.  He was 7lbs 10oz, 20.5in. long.  He was rushed to the NICU because he wasn't breathing and they kept him there for testing.  We didn't know till the next day that he was born with Down syndrome.  To my surprise, I had peace in my heart that God had chosen us to love this baby with special needs.  My husband looked as calm as I felt which made me happy!   Caleb's progress was great - all staff was amazed!  After bringing him home, I admit I was a little scared that something would go wrong and I wouldn't know what to do.  He really is a Gift from God and I can't imagine our lives without him.  Here he is just before his 2nd Birthday!
